DONINGTON PARK PLANNING APPLICATIONS
Are you aware that four planning applications have been submitted to vary the number of race days from 40 to 60 days; amended days of use and areas for testing, pre-race practising and racing of un-silenced vehicles; widening and realignment of the track; erection of additional ancillary buildings, including pits, trade suites, etc.

Development North and South of Park Lane
Planning application no: JK/09/01226/OUTM
Revised plans have been submitted to NWLDC for further consideration; these include for a residential development of 895 dwellings with associated highway works, including new western relief road with a crawler lane, employment use (B1 & B2), public house, public open spaces, play areas and strategic landscaping and a new primary school.

Parish Council upgrades play areas
As part of the Parish Council‘s on-going commitment to enhance and maintain all of its 12 play areas new play equipment and fencing totalling circa £40k has been installed on two of its play areas off Grange Drive and Stonehill Fields.
The Parish Council is commited to encouraging safe play for the young people.

Castle Donington Parish Council appointed a new councillor on 30 June 2011.
Four enquiries had been made for the position of councillor, however, only one applicant had submitted their application form by the required closing date.
The Parish Council voted in favour of Mr Mark Barker-Lane, who duly became a councillor filling the casual vacancy created at the recent elections.

Music the Park
This years Download Festival runs from the 8th to the 13th of June. As a way of keeping local residents to the festival better informed on issues that might affect them, Jess Shields, the coordinator has created a web page which outlines some important information about the festival which you may find of use.
